Track Name: March March
March, march the morning sun
and the dawn wind dancing
to the early tune of small pretty birds
up from the dark fields chancing.

Then men and dames give up your beds,
all maids and boys you're yawning
to hear the bells ring frosty round
to tell its Christmas morning.

And some to bake and some to make
and some the gifts go seeking
and lovers to their trysting place
to share their joys and speaking.

So soon around come cakes and ale
and time is for a story
then silent all do gather round
here tell of Jesus' glory.

Then dance my dream to the magic of the bow
from dusk til early dawning
(to find the Earth) serene and still
This clear St. Stephen's morning.
Track Name: Acre of Land
My father had an acre of land
Sing hey ho sing ivy
My father had an acre of land
Whistling holly and ivy
Ey ho ivy ey ho ivy

He ploughed it with a team of rats
Sing hey ho sing ivy
He ploughed it with a team of rats
Whistling holly and ivy
Ey ho ivy ey ho ivy

He sowed it with a pepper pot
sing hey ho etc

He harrowed it with a fine tooth comb
sing hey ho etc

He rolled it with a rolling pin
sing hey ho etc

He reaped it with a butter knife
sing hey ho etc

He threshed it with his Sunday toupe
sing hey ho etc

He whimmed on a thimble's brim
sing hey ho etc

He sent it to market on a louse's back
sing hey ho etc

And now the poor old man is dead
sing hey ho etc
Track Name: Nobleman's Wedding
As I was invited to a nobleman's wedding
Being of a fair one that proved unkind
And she being ill for to think of her fond love
Her former true love she left behind

When the wedding supper it was over
The company around were to sing a song
The first that sang was her former true
And there for her he did sing one

How can you lie your head on a another man's pillow?
And I that was your love so late
And you left me here for to wear this green willow
And discontent love for your sake

The bride she sat to the head of the table
Hearing those words that she knew quite well.
No longer! No longer! She could not bear it
And down from the table the new bride fell

One request I am going to ask you
Grant it to me I hope you will
For this very night for to lie with my mamma
The rest of my life to lie with thee

This request was freely granted
Sighing and sobbing she went to bed
And he rose early the next morning
He rose and he found his new bride dead

How long have I to wear this lonely green willow?
Is it for one month of two?
And then I'll take off this lonely green willow
And change the old love for the new

A green willow tree is a handsome flower
In the spring time of the year
Where manys the lover spend many the long hour
Talking of love that never was near
